The main idea is... Similar to how you might wish on a penny and throw it in a wishing well... You write your wish on the back our Wish Cards and then "accidentally" leave it behind - at a restaurant, in an airport, on the subway, or the backseat of an Uber/Lyft/Taxi/Whatever!
